James “Spanky” Lane, 69, of Butler, died on Monday, July 13, 2020, at his residence.
Graveside services will be held Friday, July 17, beginning at 10 a.m. at Cress Hill Cemetery in Hillsboro with the Rev. James Hayes officiating. Those who wish to attend are encouraged to follow CDC guidelines. Hough and Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro is assisting the family.
Mr. Lane was born Oct. 19, 1950, in Hillsboro, to Virgil and Florence (Lawson) Lane.
He graduated from Hillsboro High School and went on to serve as a laborer with Local #1084.
Mr. Lane is survived by three brothers, Rick Lane and Robert (Kendra) Lane, both of Butler, and David (Lisa) Lane of Hillsboro.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Jerry in infancy, Gerald Lane, William “Bill” Lane and Harry Lawson; two sisters, Ann Fletcher and Kathy Lane; and one niece, Katie Fletcher.
