Jack Charles Wilson, 90, of Gillespie, died on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2025, at 11:54 p.m. at Gillespie Health and Rehab Center.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 14, at Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield from 10 a.m. until funeral services begin at 12 p.m. Burial will be at Gillespie Cemetery. Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Wilson was born Oct. 16, 1934, in Gillespie, to John Wilson and Margaret Hollis Wilson Taylor. He married Elfrieda (Johnson) Wilson on Oct. 22, 1955, in Gillespie. He was a machinist for Olin Corp. Mr. Wilson enjoyed going to church affiliations and being with family.
Mr. Wilson is survived by his spouse, Elfrieda Wilson of Gillespie; children, Loretta (Steve) Sarti of Gillespie and Craig (Diane) Wilson of Litchfield; grandchildren, Jeremy (Shannon) Sarti, Joseph (Angie) Sarti, Jackson Wilson and Cooper (Katie) Wilson; great-grandchildren, Rylee Sarti, Hunter Sarti and Cheyenne Sarti; sisters, Judy Cunningham of Godfrey and Sandy Szkutnik of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, James Taylor; and brothers, Andrew Wilson and James “Jeep” Taylor.
