Irene J. Morris, 86, of Nokomis, died on Thursday, Jan. 20, 2022, at Nokomis Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
Visitation will be held Monday, Jan. 24, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home in Nokomis. Funeral services will follow, beginning at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Myron Kirk officiating.
Mrs. Morris was born June 5, 1935, in Pana, to John and Grace (Altevogt) Stolte. She married Arthur B. Morris on June 5, 1954, in Fillmore, and he preceded her in death on June 4, 2016.
She was the former owner of Rene’s Tap.
Mrs. Morris is survived by her children, Ronald (Christine) Morris of Nokomis, Roger Morris of Ohlman and Susan (Kevin) Johnson of Taylorville; seven grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; sisters, Linda Zupanci, Norma Porter and Dolores Stolte, all of Nokomis.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Earl Stolte.
