The Hearn family was at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis on Friday, Oct. 9, for the Midwest Junior Super Series Awards Ceremony, where the oldest of David and Michelle Hearn’s two sons was there to pick up some hardware.
Timothy “T-Bone” Hearn finished tied for ninth this year in the 10-12 year-old division of the series, which featured five races this year. The young racer also earned points in the Sportsman division and the 8.90 index class, in which he finished in a tie for 15th.
So what do you do after you’ve picked up your racing award? You hop back in the truck and drive three and a half hours west to your home away from home, Central Illinois Dragway in Havana, for some more racing.
Both Timothy and his father would get in on the action in Havana, with T-Bone making it to the second round of the junior dragsters. David Hearn would make it a little further, going out in the fourth round of the pro class in his Chevrolet Camaro.
While the race season is winding down for 2020, you can expect to see more of the Hearns in 2021, with Timothy’s younger brother Brayden possibly making his debut in a junior dragster as well.
