For the second weekend in a row, Litchfield racer Timothy Hearn came away with a trophy and some prize money from the Central Illinois Dragway in Havana.
Racing in the junior dragster class, the 11-year-old took second to Leo Bergschneider on Saturday, July 25, after going red at the starting line.
While he didn’t do as well as “T-Bone” did, Timothy’s father David also made some passes at CID on Saturday.
Rich Komor, Timothy’s uncle, was also busy on Saturday, July 25, as he competed in the super pro class at Coles County Dragway in Charleston. Komor would make it down to eight cars before bowing out.
