The Midwest Junior Super Series was in Terre Haute, IN, on Aug. 28-30, which meant that Timothy Hearn and his family were at Crossroads Dragway as well.
Hearn, who recently started sixth grade in Litchfield, made it down to six cars in the 10-12 age group, but wasn’t able to gain in ground in the point standings in the 8.90 Index division.
Hearn did manage to avoid some excitement though as his opponent in the third round of his age group race rolled his race car at the end of the track. Neither the driver nor Hearn, who managed to avoid the crashed car, were hurt in the incident and both went on to race again later in the weekend.
The next stop on the Midwest Junior Super Series schedule is Wagler Motorsports Park in Lyons, IN, with the racing scheduled for Sept. 11-13.
