Harold R. “Bob” Beck, 81, of Chesapeake, VA, died on Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2022.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 11, at Oman Funeral Home and Crematory in Chesapeake, VA. A private service will be at a later date.
Mr. Beck was born on Aug. 20, 1940, in Litchfield, the son of Arthur and Mamie Beck. He retired as a Lt. Commander from the U.S. Navy after 27 years. After his naval career, Mr. Beck owned and operated Solec Corp. for 19 years, until his retirement. He will be remembered as an avid golfer, who loved to travel with his wife and family.
Mr. Beck is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sandra Beck; children, Vincent Beck, Anthony Beck and Heather BeckKunkel; grandchildren, Casey Beck, Mary Beck, Ashley Beck, Brittany Beck, Caroline Beck, Ewan Beck, Ethan Beck and Callum Kunkel;siblings, John Beck, Bill Beck, Mary Martin and Jim Beck; as well as nieces, nephews and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Carl Beck.
