Grace A. Titsworth, 85, of Litchfield, died peacefully on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2021, at 2:07 p.m. with her family by her side.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 6, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Litchfield Family Funeral Service. Funeral services will follow, beginning at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with her son-in-law, Steve Schmidt, officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded and burial will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Titsworth was born March 30, 1935, in Fayette County, to Rufus and Gertie (Cearlock) Jackson. She married Donald Lee “Don” Titsworth on Oct. 2, 1951, in Litchfield, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 21, 2020.

She attended Litchfield High School and retired after 21 years of service at Echlin Manufacturing in Litchfield.

Mrs. Titsworth was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Litchfield, where she and her husband were baptized together in Christ. She showed love and kindness to everyone throughout her life and will always be remembered as being kind hearted. 

She enjoyed cooking and raising her family, spending time bird watching and nourishing her flowers as she did her family. She was an extraordinary wife, mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Titsworth is survived by her two daughters, Donna Sharp of Litchfield and Jeanie (Steve) Schmidt of Butler; five sons, Daniel (Ruth) Titsworth of King George, VA, David Titsworth of Hillsboro, Mark (Lisa) Titsworth of Omaha, NE, Randy (companion Pam Rhodes) Titsworth of Divernon and Clay (Kelly) Titsworth of Litchfield; 17 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and sisters-in-law, SunCha Jackson, Marie Jackson and Gale Jackson.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Levi Titsworth; son-in-law, Roger Sharp; daughter-in-law, Lisa Titsworth; brothers, Everett Cearlock, Terry Jackson, Phillip Jackson, Jake Jackson, Carl Jackson and Leslie Jackson; and five sisters, Elinor Street, Rosemary Kruse, Dorothy Jackson, Evelyn Flansburgh and Betty Striplin.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Crabtree Cemetery Association, Hart Cemetery Association or Coats for Kids.
