Mr. Rovey was born on April 28, 1947, in Springfield, to Lester and Alberta (Goetsch) Rovey. He served in Vietnam from November 1967 to November 1968. He married Kathy M. Murphy at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Farmersville on June 7, 1969.
Mr. Rovey was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, where he was a Eucharistic Minister and member of the choir. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #1152, the Elks #158, a trustee for Pitman Township and a treasurer for the Legion Post 701. Mr. Rovey knew no strangers and enjoyed having coffee on weekday mornings with his friends. His laugh was infectious and will forever be remembered. He also loved attending his grandchildren’s activities and spending time with his great-grandchildren. He was a season ticket holder with the St. Louis Cardinals for many years.
