Glen Fabrain Watts, 92, of Litchfield, died on Thursday, Jan. 13, 2022, at 10:35 a.m. at his residence surrounded by his family. 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 18, from noon until 2 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Litchfield. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Dan Willenborg officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Litchfield. Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield is assisting the family.

Mr. Watts was born Jan. 3, 1930, in Roxana, a son of George Fabrain and Merle Phyllis (Williams) Watts. He married the former Esther Lou St. Cin on June 26, 1954, in Brighton, and she preceded him in death on Nov. 25, 2014.

Mr. Watts graduated from Brighton High School. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served during the Korean War.  Mr. Watts attended and graduated from SIU, St. Louis Business College, and IBM Trade School.

Mr. Watts was employed by the State of Illinois as a data analyst with the Illinois Department of Public Health and retired after more than 20 years of service. Other work history includes Olin Mathieson in Alton and WEPCO in Litchfield. 

A faithful member of Holy Family Parish in Litchfield, he served as sexton and treasurer for Holy Cross Cemetery Association for 30 years.  He was a member of the Litchfield Country Club, Litchfield Community High School Band Boosters, Knights of Columbus Council 699 of Litchfield and the former Jaycees.  Mr. Watts enjoyed taking vacations with his family, playing cards with his siblings and watching football, baseball, and golf.

Mr. Watts is survived by three daughters, Cindy (Bill) Faris of Ballwin, MO, Kim (John) Higgins of Chatham and Kathy (Mike) Skinner of Litchfield; two sons, Mark (Valeria) Watts of St. Charles, MO and Michael (Kate) Watts of Edwardsville; five brothers, Paul Watts of Brighton, Leon (Judy) Watts of Jerseyville, Pete Watts, Roger (Sharon) Watts and Wyatt (Jackie) Watts, all of Brighton; one sister, Shirley Taul of Jerseyville;  12 grandchildren,  Adam (Ashley) Faris, Conner (Ashley) Faris, Shanna (Jade) Fish, Ryan (Corrie) Fish, Travis (Melissa) Fish, Chad Skinner, Austin (Jenny) Skinner, Jasmine Skinner, Tyler and Fabriana Watts, Maggie and Sam Watts, and 16 great-grandchildren,  Drake, Alexandria, Kori, Beckem, Madison, Carrick, Declan, Sonny, Oliver, Jackson, Blayke, Charlie, Ember, Ames, Lennon and Kinsley.

In addition to his wife, Esther, Mr. Watts was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Herschel, Delmar and Emil Watts; two sisters, Margaret Orban and Hazel Orban; and a granddaughter, Bethanie (Skinner) Gasperson.
