Geraldine Elaine “Dino” (Thacker) Eccles, 76, of Panama, died on Sunday, Feb. 13, 2022, at her residence.
A graveside memorial service will be held Saturday, May 7, beginning at 1 p.m. at Mt. Moriah Cemetery in rural Coffeen. The service will honor both her and her sister, Jerry Snider. Hough and Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro is assisting the family.
Mrs. Eccles was born Aug. 12, 1945, in Hillsboro, to Billie Keith and Mildred (Smith) Thacker. She married Dale Eccles, and he survives.
She graduated from Hillsboro High School and went on to become an electronics technician for 25 years at Basler Electric Co. in Highland.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Eccles is survived by her daughter, Janet (Jeff) Eccles Johnson of Clearwater, FL; granddaughter, Amanda Killen; great-grandson, Sebastian Killen; and sisters, April (Ron) Albers of Delavan, Georgia (Larry) Endicott of St. Louis, MO, and Karen Thacker of Haubstadt, IN.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Richard Thacker; sister, Jerry Snider; and grandson, Justin Adams.
