Gene F. Moxley, 91, of Hillsboro, died on Friday evening, Feb. 5, 2021, at Hillsboro Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
Private family graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday, Feb. 10, at Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Louis, MO, where he will be laid to rest next to his wife. Litchfield Family Funeral Service is assisting the family.
Mr. Moxley was born Aug. 24, 1929, in Ferguson, MO, to Bower and Lucille (McCartherty) Moxley. He married Mary Norris on Feb. 13, 1949, in Normandy, MO, and she preceded him in death on Feb. 17, 2016.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy. In 1964, he retired as a cable installer for Perkins Construction in St. Louis, MO.
Mr. Moxley loved golf, listening to music, and most of all, his dogs and all other creatures.
He is survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Moxley was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings.
