Gary J. May, 66 of Hillsboro died on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2024, at his residence.
No services are planned at this time. Hough and Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. May was born on Sept. 16, 1958, in Hillsboro to Bill and Shirley (Watts) May. He married Debby Brown on Nov. 11, 2020, and she survives. He was an auto mechanic working locally at Lee’s Tire Mart in Hillsboro. He also attended St. James Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, hunting and golf.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Makayla May and son Joshua Gunnells; grandchildren Kaitlynn Miller, Kaiden May and Elias and Logan Trout; and siblings, Eddie (Peggy) May, Tammy Martin, Roxie (Mark) Brown and Robert May.
Mr. May was preceded in death by his daughter, Leslie and brother, Raymond May.
