Fully Vaccinated Count Now At 26.32 Percent

The percentage of people in Montgomery County who are fully vaccinated continued to creep upward–26.32 percent as of Sunday, April 2, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health.

The Montgomery County Health Department hosted another vaccination clinic on Saturday, May 1, at Skyview Drive-In in Litchfield–this one using the single-dose Johnson and Johnson vaccine.

Those who would like to receive the COVID-19 vaccine and need help with online registration should call the health department at 217-532-2001 Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The number of monthly positives in Montgomery County increased in April for the first time in 2021.  After a post-holiday spike of 709 new cases in January, the number of monthly new positives had been steadily declining: 232 in February and 104 in March.   New positive tests increased to 169 in April for a total of 2,995 as of April 30 since the pandemic began.
