Four Hillsboro racers were at the Mighty Macon Speedway on Saturday, Aug. 8, for the track’s regular racing series.
In the Pro Late Model series, Brady Lynch was fast all night as he earned the number one qualifying spot with a lap time of 11.518. Lynch then finished second in the heat race to earn a spot on the front row for the feature, where he finished fifth overall.
Brady’s brother, Nathan Lynch, was third in his qualifying heat in the Modified class, earning him a front row spot in the B Feature. Lynch would go on to win the B Feature over Pocahontas’ Billy Knebel and advanced to the A Feature. Lynch would start and finish in the 17th spot in the feature race.
Kevin Rench and Justin Reynolds would both race in the Pro-Mod class on Saturday. Rench took second in his qualifying heat, then finished 11th in the feature, while Reynolds was third in his heat, but came in 21st in the feature after taking a DNF (did not finish).
In addition to the four Hillsboro racers, Nokomis’ Anton Loskot was also at Macon, racing in the street stock class. Loskot was sixth in his qualifying heat, then took fourth in the B Feature to advance on to the next race. Unfortunately, he was unable to start the A Feature.
In the overall point standings, Kevin Rench is seventh in Pro-Mod and Brady Lynch is third in Pro Late Model.
