Everetts Double Up On Runners Up At Regional


It was the final regional race of the season for the Midwest Lightning Quarter Midget Series and Litchfield’s  Everett siblings made the most of their last chances of the season.

Racing in the Heavy World Formula division at the Metro St. Louis Quarter Midget Racing Association track in Granite City, Bristol Everett finished first in her heat race after starting in the third position, then ran second overall in the feature.

Her younger brother, Bodee, would replicate her finish, taking second in the Junior Animal division. Bodee started fourth in his heat race, then moved to the B-Main with a fourth place finish. After winning the B-Main, the young racer worked his way up from the seventh starting slot to finish in the runner-up position.

Bodee also ran in the 160 class and made the A-Main for the first time after finishing third in his qualifying heat race.

In the overall standings, Bodee would finish second in the Junior Animal division with 460 points, just eight behind Mila Gregory for the top spot. He’d also finish ninth in the Light 160 division. Bristol would finish tied for third  overall in the Heavy Formula division with 441 points with Landyn Randt, 15 points behind Danny Vicino and 36 points behind Jackson Hickcox.

The Everett’s also ran at the Christian County Quarter Midget Association Fall Brawl on Sept. 18-19, with Bodee taking third in Junior Animal and Bristol taking third in Heavy World Formula.

On Sept. 27, they raced in the points race at the CCQMA track in Taylorville, with Bristol finishing second in the Heavy World Formula Division to remain in second place in the standings.

Bodee placed eighth in the Junior Animal race, ninth in the Light 160 race and eighth in the Light World Formula race. He is currently fourth in the Junior Animal point standings, seventh in the Light 160 point standings and eighth in the Light World Formula point standings.
