Mrs. Fenton was born Feb. 14, 1930, in Walshville, one of 12 children to Edward and Alice Jarman. She married Elmer Fenton, and he preceded her in death.

She was a woman of faith and shared her love for the Lord with everyone she met. She was a pastor’s wife and taught Sunday school for many years. She loved singing old hymns and witnessing to people with her beautiful voice. She was also a member of the Clarence Fenton and the Gospel Jubilee Singers.

In her spare time, Mrs. Fenton shot archery. She was part owner of the Slim and Spud’s Archery in Litchfield. She also loved working in the Wepco and Roller Derby factories in Litchfield.

She loved to nibble on chocolate and share family sayings, rhymes and jokes with the younger generation. She always found a reason to giggle.

Mrs. Fenton’s children and grandchildren were the light of her life. She loved each one of them unconditionally and reminded them often of how much her and the Lord loved them. She always showered them with her prayers and saw each one of them as perfect humans.

She is survived by her children, Wayne (Jean) Fenton of Walshville, Elaine (Warren) Fogle of Butler and Barbara (Mike) Bates of Litchfield; daughter-in-law, Cathy Buske Fenton of Litchfield; 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; siblings, Nora Law, Anna Pence, Florence Young and Martha Burdell; and best friend, Donna Spencer of Litchfield.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Fenton was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jack Fenton; and siblings, Jack Jarman, Buddy Jarman, Edith Stewart, Albert Jarman, Dale Jarman, Jesse Jarman, Myrna Law and Betty Osborn.
