Ellen Jackson, 86, of Litchfield, formerly of Fillmore,died on Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2021, at HSHS St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Monday, Aug. 23, at Fillmore Baptist Church. Services will begin at 11 a.m., with Rev. Michael Plummer officiating. Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery in Fillmore. Miller Funeral Home in Fillmore is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Jackson was born on Nov. 25, 1934, in Guin, AL, the daughter of Mortie Marvin and Ophelia (Harp) Warren. She married Houston Cullen Jackson on Aug.18, 1952, in Booneville, MS. She was a homemaker and member of Fillmore Baptist Church.
Mrs. Jackson is survived by her husband; sons, Gary (Edna) Jackson of Mooresville, IN, Darrell Jackson of Campbellsburg, KY, Danny (Kathy) Jackson of Mooreville, MS, Mike (Debbie) Jackson of Fillmore, Wayne (Sue) Jackson of Vandalia and Charles (Terri) Jackson of Deland, FL; sisters, Eloise Humphres of Vina, AL, and Jimarie Armstrong of Opelika, AL; 15 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son; four brothers; three sisters; and one great-granddaughter, Isabella.
