Ellen Carol Chumley, 54, of Litchfield, passed away Thursday, Dec. 19, 2024, at her residence.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 13, at First Presbyterian Church in Litchfield. The Rev. Gary Schwab of First Presbyterian Church of Litchfield will officiate. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery near Coffeen. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield is in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Chumley was born Dec. 4, 1970, a daughter of John Samuel and Willa Carol (Harding) Chumley. She graduated from Litchfield High School with the class of 1988 and furthered her education at the Barbizon School of Modeling in Springfield. She was a member of St. Timothy United Methodist Church in Litchfield, the American Legion Auxiliary and Daughters of the American Revolution. Ms. Chumley enjoyed taking walks and was an avid reader.
Ms. Chumley is survived by her brother, James E. Gibson of Litchfield; and special cousin, Elisa Hummer of Murphysboro
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Willa Chumley.
