Earl Harrison Voyles, 80, of Girard, died on Thursday, Aug. 12, 2021, at his home.
Services were held Monday, Aug. 16, 2021 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Girard, of which he was a member, with Father James Palakudy officiating. Burial was in St. Martin Cemetery in Farmersville. Davis-Anderson Funeral Home of Girard was in charge of arrangements.
He was born Jan. 6, 1941 in Girard, the son of Wilbur and Eva (Smith) Voyles. He married Evelyn Mae Boehler in 1961. She preceded him in death in 2012.
Mr. Voyles was a farmer and also a laborer for Schien Equipment Company and Central Illinois Steel Company, both in Carlinville.
Survivors include his sons Jeffrey Voyles of Girard and Greg (Cammy) Voyles of Mendham, New Jersey; daughters Theresa (Pat) Fuchs and Angela (Gary) Bingenheimer, both of Chatham; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters including Norine (Joe) Clevenger of Auburn and brother Steve (Ann) Voyles of Auburn.
Memorials may be made to either the Girard Fire and Rescue Squad or the Girard Food Pantry.
