Doris L. Edge, 91, of Pekin, formerly of Raymond, died on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2020, at Pekin Manor.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Jan. 23, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at A Community of Faith Church in Raymond. Funeral services will follow, beginning at 12:30 p.m. at the church. Burial will be held in Asbury Cemetery in Raymond. Hough Funeral Home of Raymond is assisting the family.
Mrs. Edge was born Nov. 1, 1928, in Waggoner, to Charles and Flossie (Reeves) Pratt. She married Willian Frank Edge on Aug. 3, 1946, in Virden, and he preceded her in death on July 31, 2002.
During her career, she and her husband owned and operated Edge Inn in Raymond from 1979 to 2000. For a number of years, she also served as a waitress at Art's Restaurant in Farmersville and tended bar at Raymond Inn.
Mrs. Edge is survived by a daughter, Connie (Jim) Kraus of Pekin; granddaughter, Kim (Jeff) DuPage of Bradenton, FL; grandson, Jeff (Mary) Kraus) of Pekin; two great-granddaughters, Katie (Logan) Heberer of East Peoria and Sydney Dupage of Bradenton, FL; three great-grandsons, Nathan, Andrew and Ben Kraus, all of Pekin; great-great-grandson, Nolan Heberer of East Peoria; and a sister, Carol (Leonard) Vance of Farmersville.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Sue Edge in 1966; son, Lynn Edge in 2010; and five sisters, Geraldine, Pearl, Ginny, Margy and Shirley.
