Doris Evelyn (Glass) Corbin, 90, of Glen Carbon, died on Friday, Feb. 26, 2021.

Per her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. A private family funeral service will be conducted Friday, March 5, at Saksa Funeral Home in Edwardsville with Pastor Daniel Wilson of Grace Baptist Church officiating.

Mrs. Corbin was born on May 3, 1930, in Hillsboro, to Olin Wayne “Dutch” and Evelyn Ella (Simpson) Glass. She married George William Corbin in 1950, and he preceded her in death.

The middle of five children, she attended Hillsboro High School. Following graduation, she worked at the Hillsboro Glass Company and a local bank.

Mrs. Corbin devoted her life to the care and service of her family. She was a phenomenal cook and baker, known for her “famous” pies. She was a beloved mother to her children and wonderful friend to many.

She is survived by her four children, Sherry Ann (Leroy) Kloepper of St. Louis, MO, Steven Lee Corbin, Robert George Corbin and Patricia “Patty” Corbin, all of Glen Carbon; eight grandchildren, Meagen (Fickinger) Jacobs, Melissa Corbin, Jenna Corbin, Katie Corbin, Steven Corbin, Russell Treat, Andrew Treat and Alexandra (Ervin) Livorsi; brother, Olin “Bob” Glass; sister, Eleanor Foster; and two great-grandchildren, Aiden and Oliver.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Corbin was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Lucille Beeler and Billie Jean Vancil.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association, 9370 Olive Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63132.
