Donald Stephen Mix, 69, of Litchfield, died at 9:18 a.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at Heritage Health of Carlinville.
No public services will be held. Mr. Mix donated his remains to Washington University. Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie assisted the family with arrangements.
Mr. Mix was born on Nov. 7, 1952, in Litchfield, to Martin and Josephine (Freuh) Mix. He married Vera Boden in 1972. Mr. Mix served for 26 years as a member of the US Army National Guard in Litchfield. He retired from Dana Incorporated where he had been employed as a a fork lift driver.
Mr. Mix is survived by his wife; children, Martin (Laura) Mix of Litchfield, Dean (Brenda) Mix of Gillespie, Chance (Dawn) Mix of Litchfield, James Mix of Mt. Olive and Colt (Holly) Mix of Litchfield; grandchildren, Tia, Kaylee, Mackenzy, Karter, Madison, Carson, Amberleigh, Logan, Tyler, Bentley, Dakoda, Rylie, Lexi and Tristan; and siblings, Deborah Anderson and Timothy Mix, both of Litchfield.
Mr. Mix was preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Jaime Mix.
