Dennis K. Bergman, 72, of Litchfield, died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2021 at 3:09 a.m. at the SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, Oct. 2, at 10:30 a.m. at the Edgewood Cemetery in Litchfield. The Rev. Cassie Sexton-Riggs, minister of Union Avenue Christian Church, will officiate. The Litchfield Family Funeral Service will assist the family.
He was born on March 16, 1949 in Carlinville, a son of the late Harold and Evelyn (Shipp) Bergman.
Mr. Bergman was a veteran of The United States Army having served during Vietnam.
He graduated from Litchfield High School with the class of 1967. He married the former Wendy Hall on July 22, 1972 at Union Avenue Christian Church in Litchfield. She survives.
He worked at Wikomi Manufacturing as a machinist and at True Weld as a certified welder, both in Litchfield.
He is survived by his wife, Wendy Bergman of Litchfield; sons Neil (Kimberly) Bergman of Litchfield, and Keith Bergman of Hillsboro; three grandchildren, Kennedy Jean Bergman, Nicholas Hawley and Dylan Bergman; brothers Dallas, Richard and Roger Bergman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jerry Bergman; sisters, Elaine White and Sharon Heitzman.
