Delores Watson, 87, of Litchfield, died on Monday, Jan. 23, 2023, at 5:35 a.m. at Carriage Crossing Senior Living in Taylorville.
Visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 27, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Perfetti-Assalley Funeral Home in Sorento, 201 S. Main St. Funeral services will follow, beginning at 12 p.m. with Pastor Dennis Hill officiating. Interment will be held at Kirkland Cemetery in Sorento.
Ms. Watson was born Dec. 15, 1935, in Sorento, to Robert W. and Fern Louise (Helgen) Watson.
As a child, she attended Kirkland Community School.
Ms. Watson relocated to Litchfield in the late 1970s, where she worked for over 30 years as an in-home health care provider.
She attended St. Timothy United Methodist Church in Litchfield and was a member of the Gillespie Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed cooking.
Ms. Watson is survived by her sisters, Lois Schmidt of Mehlville, MO, and Nelda Turner of Sorento; niece, Karen (husband Dwayne) Morgan of Sorento; nephews, Mark (wife Samantha) Harmon of Sorento and John (wife Cheryl) Schmidt of Phoenix, AZ; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
