Delores May Stolte, 83, of Nokomis, died on Sunday, Jan. 30, 2022, at Taylorville Memorial Hospital.

Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home in Nokomis is in charge of arrangements.

She was born on Dec. 9, 1938, in Nokomis to John Stolte and Grace (Altevogt) Stolte.  She went to Nokomis schools.  A long-time member of First Baptist Church in Nokomis, she cleaned houses, did ironing, and baby-sat for lots of family members.

A loving and caring woman who will be missed by many, she enjoyed watching Randy Orton on wrestling, loved watching Days of Our Lives, enjoyed cooking for her family and taking care of her bird, and loved spending time with her kids and grandkids.

She is survived by two children, Dale Lee Stolte Sr. of Nokomis and Lisa Marie Stolte of Nokomis; six grandchildren, Dale (Delia) Stolte Jr. of Litchfield, Katrina Silvy of Witt, Daniel (MacKenzie) Oakley Jr. of Nokomis, Miranda Silvy of Witt, Dustin (Heather) Oakley of Irving, and Cheyenne (Ricky) Overla of Nokomis; seven great-grandchildren, Deven Stolte, Sophia Overla, Isabella Wicker, Cooper Oakley, Dominic Stolte, Maddlynn Oakley, and Grace Stolte; two sisters, Norma Porter of Nokomis and Linda Zupanci of Nokomis; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Earl Stolte Sr., and a sister, Irene Morris.
