Delores Crittenden, 94, of Mt. Olive, died on Friday, March 11, 2022, at her home.
Private graveside services will be held at Mt. Olive City Cemetery with the Rev. James Ritter officiating. Becker and Son Funeral Home in Mt. Olive is assisting the family.
Mrs. Crittenden was born April 27, 1927, on the family farm in rural Mt. Olive, to Emil and Leona (Hein) Monke. She married John Crittenden, Jr. on Nov. 5, 1949, in St. Louis, MO, and he preceded her in death on April 15, 2001.
She attended Immanuel Lutheran Church, where she was baptized and confirmed.
Mrs. Crittenden attended Immanuel Lutheran Grade School and graduated from Mt. Olive High School with the class of 1945.
She is survived by her daughters, Judy (husband Pat) Puckett of Butler, Janice (husband Barry) Badgett and Joyce (husband Kevin) Coles, both of Springfield; son, Donald Crittenden of Dallas, TX; four grandchildren, Jeffrey Puckett of Greenville, Megan (husband Daniel) Harney of Fort Scott, KS, Zachary Badgett of Orlando, FL, and Kyle Coles of Springfield; three great-grandchildren, Elli, Jack and Noa Harney of Fort Scott, KS; sister-in-law, Dolores Monke; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Crittenden was preceded in death by her parents; son, John Crittenden III; three brothers, Orville, LaVern and Gilbert; and six sisters, Ethel Schmidt, Adele Knachstedt, Eleanor Favre, Lorene Schoen, Doris Kuenneth and Sharon Pakovich.
Memorials may be directed to Mt. Olive City Cemetery or Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mt. Olive.
