Deborah Ann Duffy Jayarathne, 41, of Hillsboro, died on Friday, Sept. 10, 2021 at 6:27 p.m. in her home surrounded by her family.  

Funeral services will be held on Monday, Sept. 20, 2021 at 1 p.m. at All Nations Worship Center in Litchfield.  Rev. Matt Houser will officiate.  Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Litchfield.  Visitation will be held Monday from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church.  Plummer Funeral Home is assisting the family.

She was born on March 17, 1980, in Appleton, WI, a daughter of Jim and Mary Ellen (Machado) Duffy.  Graduating from West High School in Appleton, she then studied at UW-Fox Valley in Oshkosh, WI, was a graduate of International Children’s Ministry Institute in Litchfield, and worked with YWAM in Kona, HI.  

She was co-founder of AJ Banners and Printing in Hillsboro and dedicated part of her time to being a homemaker.  She served with LRM Missions since 2001 and was a member of All Nations Worship Center.  She had served as a missionary in more than 20 nations, and was ordained by LRM Missions in 2009.  

Mrs. Jayarathne loved All Nations, prayer, children’s ministry, serving others, equipping leaders, worship music, sharing the gospel, art, and laughing with her friends and family.  She was active in serving the church and community.   

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Asela Jayarathne;  children, Matthew (age six) and Abigail (age three); siblings, Marie (Pat) Erm, Jim (Pam) Duffy, Mike Duffy, Judy (Eric) Farm,Sean (Julie) Duffy, David (Desiree) Duffy, Ben (Kristin) Duffy, Elizabeth (John) Duffy, Eddie Monroe (Troy), Ruth Duffy, Joshua Duffy, Paul Duffy, and Anthony Duffy; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Mildred (Gilbertson) Duffy and maternal grandparents, Walter and Sarah Rita (Hill) Machado.
