Davidson Picks up Win In State Debut

Like his teammate Alex Powell, junior Brady Davidson picked up a win in his first state tournament as he went 1-2 in the 126-pound class.

Davidson kept it close with Zach Foote of Camp Point Central before falling to the senior at the 2:28 mark of the opening match. He would rebound though, as he defeated Omar Ramirez of Phoenix Military Academy in a back-and-forth 12-9 decision that moved him to the second round of the consolation bracket.

There he took on Jason Bowers of the vaunted Dakota wrestling team and lost a 12-2 major decision. Despite the setback in his final match, Davidson still finished the season 22-10 and will be one of Litchfield’s veterans next year after picking up a year of state experience in 2021.
