Dale Frederick Broers, 56, of Nokomis, died Monday March 17, 2025, at his residence.

In celebration of his life, a visitation will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Nokomis on Friday, March 21, from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 22, at 10 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial will follow the ceremony at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in rural Nokomis.

Mr. Broers was born on Sept. 17, 1968, in Hillsboro, the son of Elmer M. and Ruth Ann (Wolters) Broers. He graduated from Nokomis High School and worked on a pig farm before later working at A-Lert  Construction, Aumann Auctioneers, PSI and finally at Nokomis Quarry. 

Mr. Broers married Theola Sexton on June 17, 2000, on their farm in Rountree Township.

Mr. Broers was a lifelong Nokomis area resident and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He loved to farm, weld and tinker on things ranging from mud drag trucks to projects with his son Travis. Mr. Broers was a loyal and loving brother, husband and father.

In addition to his mother and wife, Mr. Broers is survived by his son, Travis; sister, Dana (Steve) Hellmann; nephews, Andrew (Michayah) Hellmann, Cody (Cheyenne) Hellman, Ryan (Mackenzie) Hellman, Hunter Broers, Benjamin Kolbe, Ty (Ashley) Sexton, Keiffer Sexton and Augustus Sexton; nieces, Lily Broers, Allison Kolbe and Savay Sexton; great-nephews, Westen Hellmann and Luke Hellman; mother-in-law, Carol Foster; sister-in-law, Larrette (Doug) Kolbe; brothers-in-law, Lyle (Stephanie) Sexton and Dwight (Suzanne) Sexton; and stepsisters-in-law, Lynn Anne Foster and Lea Foster.

In addition to his father, Elmer, he was preceded in death by brothers, Dean Broers and Lyle Broers; and his fathers-in-law, Larry Sexton and Lee Foster.
