Crystal Lee (Lloyd) Gibson, 47, of Mattoon, died on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Montgomery Nursing Home.
A memorial service will be held at Hough and Sons Funeral Home on Thursday, April 17, at 12 p.m. A visitation will begin an hour prior starting at 11 a.m.
Mrs. Gibson was born in Worcester, MA, and had moved to Mattoon for family. She was a kind and caring mother of five. She loved her children and grandchildren more than anything, however she suffered from a rare genetic disease that she eventually lost her life to. Mrs. Gibson always tried to see the good in everybody and had a loving soul.
The family prays “Lord, grant eternal rest to Crystal. May your light shine upon her, and may she be welcomed into your loving embrace.”
Mrs. Gibson is survived by her five children, Miranda Fitzpatrick, Christopher “Colton” Abbott, Matthew Tracy, Ashlee Richard and Alexander Richard; four siblings, Richard Hoffman, Kimberly Hughes, John Crum and Marisa Lloyd; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donna Supernor, and Wayne Lloyd; as well as her nephew, Nicholas Hoffman.
