Cletus Edward Hess, 87, of Litchfield, died Thursday, Oct. 3, 2024, at his home in Litchfield.
There will be no services.
Mr. Hess was born Aug. 9, 1937, in Litchfield, a son of William and Josephine Arth Hess. He graduated from St. Jacob High School.
Mr. Hess was the first salesman for Sievers Equipment. Then he was the owner of the John Deere dealership in Nokomis from 1963-1970. He was raised in the Catholic Church.
Mr. Hess is survived by his son, Perry (Marla) Hess of Bettendorf, IA, and son, Eric (Kelly) Hess of Edwardsville; grandchildren, Alexander, Jacob and Kayla; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.
