Cheryl Benton Bailey, 51, of Witt, died on Sunday, Sept. 12, 2021, in Carlinville Area Hospital.
The daughter of Robert and Anne (Wilhelm) Weber, she was born on Dec. 30, 1969, in Joliet. She married Vernon Benton and they divorced. She married Jeffrey Bailey on Jan. 3, 2009, and he survives.
A registered nurse, she had bachelor of science degree in nursing, enjoyed fishing and Frisbee golf, and especially loved time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Jordan Benton (companion Marinda Helland) of Mazon, William Benton of Morris, Joshua Bailey of Joliet, Destiny Bailey (companion Ahmad Samara) of Crystal Lake, and Hannah (John) O'Marroh of Peru; grandchildren, Evelyn Benton and Oliver Ralph Alexander; siblings Roger Bourke (companion Jennie Marcos) of Irving, Bobbi (Rick) Heylek of Weldon; a nephew, Brandon Bourke of Amarillo,TX; nieces Trisha Bourke (fiance Charles Grimes) of Nokomis, and Brandi Heylek of Weldon; and a great-nephew, Hayden Bourke.
There will be no services. Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
