Charles Albert Boston, 88, of East Peoria, died on Friday, June 26, 2020, at 4:53 p.m. at Fondulac Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in East Peoria.
Cremation rites were accorded and no services will be held. Affordable Funeral and Cremations Services of Central Illinois assisted.
Mr. Boston was born March 18, 1932, in Farmersville, to Raymond and Isabel (Stephen) Boston. He married Lona Lenz in 1955, in Lacon. He later married Bonita Knoll, and she survives. He graduated from Hillsboro High School and Bradley University, where he played basketball and baseball for both schools, including on the 1949 Hillsboro state runner-up team. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Boston is survived by his daughter, Cynthia (Robin) Smith of Pekin; stepchildren, Pam (John) Rosenberg of Dunlap and Jon Knoll of New York, NY; four grandsons; three great-grandchildren; brother, Joe (Susie) Boston of Hillsboro; half-brother, Albert (Brenda) Oberle of Schram City; and half-sister, Mary Chesser of Litchfield.
