Catherine M. “Kitty” Crawford, 84, of Litchfield, died on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2023, at 8:50 p.m. at her home.
Visitation will be held Saturday, March 4, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Christian Church in Raymond. Funeral services will follow, beginning at 11 a.m. at the church with Pastor David Ziegenbein officiating. Hough Funeral Home in Raymond is assisting the family.
Mrs. Crawford was born July 8, 1938, in Litchfield, to Ralph N. and Wilma (Hancock) Shade. She married Harold Crawford, and he survives.
She was a homemaker and volunteered at Love Packages in Butler. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Christian Church near Raymond.
Her favorite pastimes included square dancing, attending Harold Stokes panting classes, tending to her flower gardens, enjoying the outdoors, watching birds, family genealogy, singing and playing guitar. She enjoyed visiting the nursing home, where she entertained the residents with her music.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Crawford is survived by her children, Mark (wife Sharon) Crawford and Cathy (companion Rick Rocha) Traylor, both of Litchfield, and Steve (companion Dawn Rowan) Crawford of Walshville; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brother, Kenneth (wife Dois) Shade; sister, Patricia (husband Bill) Ward; and two daughters-in-law, Alice Crawford and Brandi Crawford of Staunton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sons, Gary Crawford, Randy Crawford and David Crawford.
