Carol Marie Greenwalt, 87, of Litchfield, died on Monday, June 29, 2020, at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 3, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield. Funeral services will follow, beginning at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Jake Wetterlin officiating. Burial will be held in Elmwood Cemetery in Litchfield.

Mrs. Greenwalt was born Dec. 31, 1932, in Litchfield, to George Albert and Inez Augusto (Caldwell) Pryor. She married Glenn Dale Greenwalt on Aug. 21, 1951, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 17, 2008.

She graduated from Litchfield High School with the class of 1950. In her younger years, she worked as a clerk at Yungck Medical Supply for ten years. She would spend the majority of her life as a homemaker.

Mrs. Greenwalt was a member of St. Timothy United Methodist Church in Litchfield, where she taught primary Sunday School for over 20 years. She liked taking nature walks, doing puzzles and reading. She especially loved spending time with her family and her animals very much.

She is survived by her daughter, Anne Greenwalt of Grovetown, GA.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Greenwalt was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Betty Miller and Barbara Harms.

Memorials may be directed to St. Timothy United Methodist Church or Paws Care of Montgomery County.
