Carol Ann (Tolliver) Lazenby, 78, of Taylor Springs, died on Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2022, at her residence.
No services are planned at this time. Hough and Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro is assisting the family.
Mrs. Lazenby was born Aug. 23, 1943, in Island Grove Township, to Leslie and Lala (Dick) Tolliver. She was raised by Elmer “Jake” and Anna Mae Scheldt. She married Lee Lazenby on Dec. 1, 1962, and he survives.
She graduated from Mt. Olive High School.
During her career, Mrs. Lazenby worked as a hairdresser for many years, and with her husband Lee, they co-owned and operated L&W Heating A/C and Appliance in both Hillsboro and Litchfield.
She was an avid bowler and St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan. She was a past member of the Hillsboro Lionesses.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Lazenby is survived by her two daughters, Lori (companion David Jarman) Lazenby and Lisa (Rodney) Hamilton Harrell of South Carolina; five grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and siblings, Irene Harney, Donna Schiltz, Janet Spoor, Cheryl Braye, David Bethard, Harry, Mark and Matt Scheldt.
She was preceded in death by her parents; the Scheldts; brother, Leslie Tolliver; sister, Gladys Chambers; and nephew, Keith Chambers.
