In 1978, he and his wife started Webb Insurance in Farmersville and later opened an office in Raymond.  He was a community-minded person and enjoyed socializing. He served as a board member of the Macoupin and Montgomery Crimestoppers and was a member of the Raymond-Harvel Kiwanis.

He is survived by a son, Steven (companion Tammy Pate) Webb; daughters, Barbara  (husband Ray Durston) Farrar, and Marla (husband Jim) Hitchings, all of Waggoner; a brother, Dr. Lynn (Dr. Marilyn) Webb of Nashville, TN; nine grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
