Brian Lee Cook, 28, of Litchfield, died on Friday, May 2, 2025, at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
A memorial service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church in Hillsboro on Friday, May 16. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by the service at 11 a.m. and a meal at the church. Burial will be at a later date with a private graveside service for the family.
Mr. Cook was the son of Ronnie Cook Sr. and the late Janice (Rufus) Cook. He attended Taylor Springs Baptist Church as a child. He went to Litchfield High School and worked in the electronics department at Walmart.
Mr. Cook loved animals, especially dogs and cats. He was an avid video game enthusiast, and enjoyed reading fantasy literature, listening to music and watching fantasy and science fiction movies. He was very fun-loving and had an amazing smile.
Mr. Cook was an organ donor, and many lives will be impacted by his generous gift.
In addition to his father, he is survived by a brother, Jeremy Cook; half brothers, Ronnie Cook Jr. and Shane Cook; aunt Patty Rufus and uncle William (Ronita) Rufus; and his beloved dog, Natasha Nicole.
Mr. Cook was preceded in death by his mother, Janice Cook; sister, Spring Marie Cook; uncles, Michael Rufus and Jerry Pembroke; and maternal grandparents, Clifford “Pat” and Gertrude “Gertie” (Milligan) Rufus.
