Billie Jean Vancil, 78, of Litchfield, died at 12:39 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2020, at her residence.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Litchfield Family Funeral Service is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mrs. Vancil was born on Nov. 26, 1941, in Hillsboro, a daughter of Olin Wayne and Evelyn (Simpson) Glass. She married Merlin W. Vancil, he preceded her in death on Oct. 24, 2017.
Mrs. Vancil enjoyed staying home and taking care of her family. She loved to read and sit in her window to watch the birds.
Mrs. Vancil is survived by her daughter, Judith Ann “Judy” (Michael) Phipps of Litchfield; grandson, Cole (Sarah Painter) Phipps of Litchfield; twin brother, Olin Wayne “Bob” (companion, Shirley Crase) Glass, Jr. of St. Peters, MO; sisters, Doris Crobin of Glen Carbon and Eleanor Foster of Middleton, IN.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and sister, Lucille Beeler.
