Beulah I. Haberman, 94, of Litchfield, formerly of Chester, died on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at her residence.

Per her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and private family services will be conducted at a later date. Litchfield Family Funeral Service is assisting the family.

Mrs. Haberman was born Jan. 21, 1929, in Rockwood, to John and Dora (Grah) Draves. She married Arthur Haberman on Aug. 14, 1948, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Chester, and he preceded her in death on July 26, 2008.

She worked in the bakery at the old Mohr and Wittenborn grocery store in Chester. She was a member of St. John’s Church in Chester, the Chester Eagles and the Moose Lodge in Chester and Litchfield.

Mrs. Haberman loved the simple things in life such as sitting outside and watching nature. She also loved gardening, especially flowers, working in the yard, playing cards and spending time with friends and family.

During her life, she was able to travel, especially to Florida in the winter with her husband. She was the mother of five children and was proud of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She especially loved her new great-great-granddaughters.

Mrs. Haberman is survived by four children, Sharon (Gary) Gerdes, Janet (Gary) Robertson, Patsy Lindner and Tina Manzullo; grandchildren, Sandy (fiance Jeff) Lankutis, Matthew (special friend Morgan) Gerdes, Renee Lindner, Julie Robertson and Andrew (special friend Alecia) Robertson; great-grandchildren, Ashleigh Stockert, Brittani (special friend Matt Butcher) Stockert, Marrissa (Kevin Young), Harmonnie Stockert, Matthew Gerdes, Langdon Lankutis, Luke Lankutis and Tyler Robertson; great-great-granddaughters, Hayden Young and Paislee Butcher.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Cathy Ann Haberman in 1953; brothers, Lloyd Draves and one in infancy; and grandson, Chuck Lindner.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the donor’s choice.
