Betty L. Hefley, 86, of Schram City, died on Tuesday, March 23, 2021, at Hillsboro Area Hospital.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, March 28, beginning at 2 p.m. at St. John’s Cemetery in rural Irving with the Rev. Ron Butler officiating. Hough Funeral Home in Hillsboro is assisting the family.

Mrs. Hefley was born Aug. 12, 1934, in Hillsboro, to Clarence and Ethel (Sammon) Durbin. She married Homer L. Hefley in November 1950, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 19, 2007.

She was a homemaker, cook and hostess at Hardees in Hillsboro.

Mrs. Hefley is survived by her sons, Bill (Kay) Hefley, Larry (Janice) Hefley and Steve (Lisa) Hefley, all of Hillsboro; daughter, Sherry (Gary) Loskot of Irving; five grandchildren, Chris Dobson, Nick Hefley, Tyler, Kaitlyn and Ella Loskot; four great-grandchildren, Hannah and Kenley Hefley, Paige Mullen and Jacob Dobson; one great-great-grandchild, Rylinn Mullen; and sister, Edna Wilhelm.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; son, Robert Hefley; great-grandson, Christopher Dobson; and two sisters, Hazel Traylor and Effie Payne.

Memorials may be directed to St. John’s Cemetery in rural Irving.
