Betty June Lagant, 90, of Greenville, died Thursday, March 4, 2021, at Greenville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Graveside services were held Tuesday, March 9, in Campground Cemetery in Greenville. Young Funeral Home in Greenville was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Lagant was born June 21, 1930, in Pawnee, to Lionel and Rhoda (Stewart) Sanders. She married Evert Lagant on Jan. 17, 1949, and he preceded her in death.

She and her husband raised four children on the family dairy farm south of Greenville. She remained on the farm after becoming a widow in 1988. In the following years, she stayed very busy with house cleaning jobs, attending Calvary Temple Church, and especially visiting with the 20-plus group of coffee-drinking ladies at Greenville Hardees.

Mrs. Lagant is survived by her children, Beverly (Ron) Stilt  and Larry (Linda) Lagant, all of Greenville, and Judy (Gary) Laurent of Butler; grandchildren, Kristy, Steven, Daniel and James; great-grandchildren, Logan, Olivia, Hannah, Xander, Grace and Callen.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Ron Lagant, and siblings, Pearly, Inez, Estle and Helen.
