Betty F. (Barnett) Manley, 86, of Ramsey, died on Monday, March 7, 2022, at Hillsboro Area Hospital.

Graveside services were conducted on Monday, March 14, at McInturff Cemetery in rural Vandalia with the Rev. Robert Weaver officiating. Miller Funeral Home in Vandalia assisted the family.

Mrs. Manley was born Feb. 28, 1936, in Shelby County, to Wilber Jackson and Frances Faye (Burchfiel) Barnett. She married Donald Lee Manley on June 4, 1955, in Vandalia, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 17, 2022.

During her career, she worked as a teller at First National Bank in Vandalia and Fayette County Farm Bureau. She was also a homemaker.

Mrs. Manley was a member of Unity Baptist Church and Fayette County Farm Bureau, both in Vandalia.

She is survived by her son, Gary (Christy) Manley of Vandalia; daughter, Nancy Manley Stephens of Nokomis; grandchildren, Michelle (Jeremy) Orsborn, Arika Craig and Aaron Manley; and great-grandchildren, Landon and Jaxon Orsborn.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Manley was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Eva Alcorn; and an infant brother.

Memorials may be directed to Unity Baptist Church or Fayette County Humane Society.
