Barbara Ann Gudgel, 85, of Waggoner, died on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at 4:45 a.m. at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
Visitation will be held Monday, June 19, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Hough Memorial Home in Farmersville. Funeral services will follow, beginning at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Dave Ziegenbein officiating. Burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Springfield.
Mrs. Gudgel was born Nov. 12, 1935, in Springfield, to Edwin and Eva (Walsmith) Sanders. She married William Andrew Gudgel on Dec. 25, 1950, and he preceded her in death.
A homemaker, she had worked at K-Mart in Springfield and also served as an EMT for the Farmersville-Waggoner Ambulance Service for ten years.
Mrs. Gudgel is survived by her children, Linda (Jim) McGinnis of Edgewater, FL, Gary (Becky) Gudgel of Mt. Olive, Lois (Mac) McCarson of San Jose and Laura (Roy) Farrar of Waggoner; 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister, Hazel Gudgel of Springfield; and borther-in-law, Richard Gudgel of Springfield.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Larry and Dale; and siblings, Leonard, Howard, George, Morris and Edna Sanders, Lorraine Adams, Ruby Volentine, Nillie Gill and Lela Bell-Leach.
