April Lynn (Spracklen) Getz, 76, of Ramsey, formerly of Edinburg, died on Tuesday morning, July 26, 2022, at Pana Community Hospital.
Visitation will be held Saturday, July 30, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home in Nokomis. Funeral services will follow, beginning at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Getz was born Oct. 3, 1945, in Long Beach, MS, to Walter and Martha (Thompson) Spracklen. She married Gary Getz on Jan. 19, 1963, and he survives.
She grew up in the Nokomis area, graduating from Nokomis High School. She went to work for the state, then for the family plumbing business.
Mrs. Getz and her husband lived in Edinburg, raising their three children. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Kelly (Katherine) Getz; daughter, Kimberly (Cary) Sparks; daughter-in-law, Amanda Getz; grandsons, Clint (Sydney), Cole (Rylie), Case, Kelby, Karson and Keagan; sister, Shannon; and numerous nieces, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Mrs. Getz was preceded in death by her youngest son, Kristopher, in 2007; parents; brother, Lee Kermit Spracklen; and grandson, Korey.
