Amos “Moose” Adams, 44, of Butler, died on Monday, Sept. 19, 2022, at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Memorial services will be conducted Friday, Sept. 23, beginning at 2 p.m. at Hough and Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro.

Mr. Adams was born June 18, 1978, in Gibson City, to Curtis and Alice (Adams) Elkins. He married Penny Haskins on Feb. 19, 1997, and she survives.

He worked at a grain elevator and scrap yards in Paxton.

A Christian, Mr. Adams loved to go fishing, camping, hiking and demolition derbies.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother of Butler; children, Tina Haskins Howard of Danville, Amos Haskins and Dustin Adams, both of Butler; and two sisters, Hope (Jake) Wasson of Nebo and Christina (Mac) Cooley of Arkansas.

Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his father; and his favorite pets, Blackie and Rex.
