Alice Marie Parrish, 91, of Litchfield, died on Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021 at 6:05 a.m. at Heritage Health Therapy & Senior Care in Litchfield.  

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 23, at 11 a.m. at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church (824 N. Monroe St.) in Litchfield.  The Rev. Cynthia Munker will officiate.  Inurnment will be in Elm Lawn Cemetery in Litchfield.  Visitation will be held Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the church.  Masks will be required for those attending, and social distancing will be observed.  A luncheon will follow the burial in the church fellowship hall.  Plummer Funeral Services is assisting the family.

She was born on Sept. 10, 1930, in Litchfield, a daughter of Harry Morris and Eva Marie (Heyen) Wolfe.  She graduated from Litchfield High School with the class of 1948.  She married Robert Glenn Parrish on Oct. 28, 1950 at the Methodist Parsonage in Litchfield.  He preceded her in death on Aug. 14, 2018.  

She dedicated her time to being a housewife.  In her early years, she worked part time as a bookkeeper for Hermsmeyer Oil and North Litchfield Twp. in Litchfield.  A lifelong member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield, she was also active with the Altar Guild.  She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for over 60 years, the library board in Litchfield, and was a blood bank volunteer also in Litchfield.  Alice enjoyed knitting, cross stitching, crosswords, traveling, being with her family, and was an avid reader.  

She is survived by daughter Mary Beth (David) Taylor of Litchfield; son Mark Parrish of Litchfield; brother William Wolfe of Panama City, FL; two grandchildren, Kara Taylor Shaw of The Colony, TX and Kyle Taylor of Litchfield; one great-granddaughter, Jade Marie Taylor of Litchfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband  Robert; brother Byron Black; and two sisters, Evelyn Acuncius and Vernadean Maness.
