Alberto ‘Tito’ Soler, 57

Alberto “Tito” Soler, 57, of Mt. Clare, formerly of Mt. Olive, died on Thursday, June 11, 2020, at 2:25 a.m. at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.

Private family visitation will be held Saturday, June 13, at Becker and Son Funeral Home in Mt. Olive.

Mr. Soler was born Jan. 29, 1963, in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico, to Bernabe and Carman (Lopez) Soler.

He attended Harrison High School in Chicago and was employed by International Paper Company in Litchfield for 25 years.

Mr. Soler was an avid reader who enjoyed working crossword puzzles, camping and history. He also loved bragging about his “bugaboos,” his grandchildren.

He is survived by his son, Nicholas (Terri Teetor) Soler of Mt. Olive; daughter, Angela (Matt) Segarra of Gillespie; sister, Margarita (Rick) Villarreal of Bolingbrook; five grandchildren, Isabella, Emilia, Elena and Roman; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Soler was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Eddie Soler; and sister, Mereida Soler.
