After 46 Years, Announcing Upcoming Retirement

Posted

After 46 years in the electrical field and 41 years of service to the Witt and surrounding areas as Weitekamp Electric Co., we are announcing our upcoming retirement in 2021.

I plan on working through the end of 2021 on some projects that are already planned for the next year, and we will officially close our store on March 1, 2021.

As we begin this new chapter, we wanted to be able to offer our customers a reliable alternative to our services.  After careful consideration, we chose Trent Laughlin with Laughlin Electric of Hillsboro to help in this transition and to hopefully continue providing our level of service we have provided you over the years.  As I begin to slow down this year, Trent will be here for all your electrical needs.

A little background for those of you who do not know Trent.  He has 22 years of experience in the electrical field and has been in business for eight years as Laughlin Electric Inc.  He serves Hillsboro and the surrounding areas providing services for residential, light commercial, farms, home generator systems and solar array sales and installations as well as trenching and bucket truck service.  Trent has also decided to keep electric motors in stock at his shop just as we have here.  Trent can be reached at 217-246-4113.

The decision to slow down hasn’t been an easy one, but it’s time that Pam and I step back and enjoy our family as well as other things.  It has been a pleasure serving each and every one of you over the years, and we appreciate your support as we make this transition.  Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions or concerns at 217-594-2421.  We will be happy to talk to you.
